Gravel has always been about signing up, showing up, grinding it out, and pushing forward when every fiber of your being tells you to quit.

There’s a moment in every gravel race that captures this spirit more than any podium or finish-line sprint. It’s the moment when the final rider crosses the line—not to silence, but to cheers, hugs, and celebration. It’s the moment when the entire gravel family gathers, not to measure speed, but to honor resilience.

Because in gravel, the last rider to finish isn’t alone—they’re surrounded by the very best of what this community stands for: inclusion, support, and unwavering respect for the effort it takes to complete the journey.

And so, with that, it is our absolute honor to welcome our next Gravel Icon to the Gravel Cycling Hall of Fame: Please welcome DFL—Dead Freaking Last—into the Gravel Cycling Hall of Fame!
